The intimate evening will feature four wines representative of his iconic estate alongside an array of straight-from-the-farmers-
Domaine Belargus is a leading biodynamic estate in the Loire Valley, built around a thousand-year-old vineyard in the heart of Anjou Noir. A region known for sweet wines, Domaine Belargus and owner Ivan Massonnat have broadened the understanding of what can come out of this “land of schists.”
After a career in finance, Ivan turned his passion for wine into his life's work, building Domaine Belargus stone by stone with a long-term vision: to restore the nobility of the land and those ancient vines in deep harmony with nature’s biodiversity. He named the estate for the Belargus, the rare blue butterfly, a fitting emblem for the Domaine: fragility, vitality, resilience, and grace.
Thanks to Aline Wines, the ambassador and official California importer of Domaine Belargus since the estate's inception in 2018, Ivan will be joining us in early October for one night only. This is an opportunity not to be missed, a master class in high-craft, biodynamically farmed Chenin Blanc wines, the deepest of dives into biodiversity and the special Anjou Noir terroir
All wines featured at the event will be 10% retail for attendees.
