Ferdinando Principiano is a (clean!) natural and (enlightened) traditional Barolo producer whose cantina is in Monforte and vineyards straddle Monforte and Serralunga. Farming is practicing organic, with his vineyards teeming with wildflowers, insects, and other wildlife. All fermentations are indigenous. Not allowed to say dolcetto on the label as the wine comes in at 11% alc and the DOC rules require a minimum of 11.5%.
