Dario Serrentino is a grower, with certified organic winegrapes, olives, and almonds, in the Val di Noto, southwest Sicily. For this wine, Dario co-ferments 90% musky, red-fruited Nero d’Avola, with the lightening acidity of 10% Grillo. CALA, the word for ‘grape’ in Sicilian dialect, highlights the limestone terroir and Dario’s natural winemaking touch. It drinks like a welcome oasis of shade, restorative and invigorating - especially with a light chill.
