2021 Maurice Charleux Maranges Blanc 1er Cru - La Fussiere

Maurice and Vincent Charleux are third- and fourth-generation vignerons farming 10 hectares in the villages of Maranges (west of Santenay, in the Côte de Beaune) and Santenay. La Fussière is a premier cru vineyard in Maranges. The soil is white limestone over blue-colored marl, replete with fossils. Farming is lutte raisonée. THis is 100% chardonnay fermented in tank and aged in oak, of which 20% is new. This is well-balanced, generous white Burgundy with an excellent quality-price ratio.
