Maurizio Anfosso and Roberta Repaci farm 3 hectares in the Rossese di Dolceacqua DOC, in far western Liguria, just over the border from Nice in France. Rossesse apparently is the same grape as Tibouren in France. Here it makes light, fresh, peppery reds with great acidity and low tannin. The Galeae vineyard was planted in 1998. Farming is uncertified organic. Chill the wine for 15-20 minutes and drink it with poulty, game, or aged cheeses.
