Zoltán and Zoltán Jr. Heimann grow and make wine in the southern Hungarian appellation of Szekszárd (pronounced SEX-hard - no joke!). The vineyards are certified organic, fermentations are natural, and the wines are manipulated as little as possible in the winery. Kadarka grows all over Central and Eastern Europe and has enjoyed a renaissance since the fall of the Iron Curtain. The Heimann’s version has, along with fresh red and black fruits, fall-like flavors of pepper, spice, and dried herbs. This is a single-vineyard bottling from the Porkoláb völgy (valley).
