The appellation of Menetou-Salon is just south of Sancerre and makes Sauvignon Blanc of similar style - and in Domaine Pellé's case, of equal breed. Morogues is the village around which the Pellé's vineyards are clustered. Soils are chalky limestone and clay. Farming is certified organic as of 2020. Indigenous fermentation and aging in stainless steel. Flavors are citrus and mineral (even flinty), with a hint of floral and herbal notes. This wine is better than many Sancerres that cost 25% more.
