80% Pinot Noir + 20% Gamay from the Côteaux du Giennois, just north of Sancerre in the Loire Valley. Florian Roblin's Champ Gibault parcel enjoys a southern exposure and gentle slope, with a soil mix of clay and flint over a chalk base. The rouge is fermented in concrete tank for 25 days and then aged for 10 months in 3-5 year old Burgundy barrels. This is pretty and expressive Pinot Noir, with additional spice and brightness from the Gamay.
