Roberto Bianchi’s father purchased the Val delle Corti estate in Radda and moved his family there in the 1970s. At the time, his father was ridiculed for his lightly-colored, acidic Sangiovese - a consequence of Radda’s high elevation (500+ meters) and Val delle Corti’s north- and northeast-facing vineyards. Radda has since become famous for producing the most elegant and restrained Chianti Classicos, and Val delle Corti’s shadier exposition has come into its own because of global warming. Farming is certified organic and fermentations are indigenous.
