"Vineyard sits on a ridge known as Holmes Gap, where the winds rip through; the fruit ripens slowly, developing rich and complex flavors while retaining focused acidity. The 20 year old vines sit on an outcropping of rocky Nekia clay soils.  Aged in 228 liter barrels for 15 months.  The palate is dense and brooding, with forest floor, plum skins, tobacco leaf and amaro notes, beautifully integrated with the tannins and the lengthy finish.  120 cases."
