Post & Vine is the personal, passionate project of Rebekah Wineburg, whose day job is as winemaker for Quintessa. For Post & Vine, she seeks out old-vine, dry-farmed vineyards and makes transparent, elegant wines that are great quality-price ratio. Rebekah also worked at Paul Marcus Wines in the 2000s, after she finished her Viticulture and Enology degree at U.C. Davis; we’re delighted to have her “back” at the shop in this new guise! This wine is a rosé of Carignane (a.k.a. Carignan in France and Mazuelo in Spain) from ungrafted vines planted around 1890 in the Sandy Lane Vineyard in eastern Contra Costa County. Whole cluster, indigenous fermentation, and no malolactic fermentation. It's pretty, crisp, and flavorful.
