Terah Bajjalieh is a born-and-bred Californian who has made wine in France, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, and four regions in our own state. She started the Terah Wine Co. in 2020 in order to focus on making her own small-lot wines from organic and biodynamic vineyards. Terah’s Vermentino is from The Bench Vineyard in Clements Hills, a sub-appellation of Lodi. It aged for five months in stainless steel and was then bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine has crunchy, subtle white and pale yellow fruits and a delicate florality. The lightness and low alcohol (just 11.5%) - reminiscent of Ligurian vermentino - make it a refreshing and cooling aperitivo. Or drink it alongside Petrale sole with herbs and/or capers.
