Gogo (= “girl” in Georgian) is Keti Berishvili’s winery in Kakheti, the most important wine-growing region in Georgia. She grew up making wine with her father, who was and is a major force in natural Georgian wine and mentor to many other Kakhetian winemakers. Saperavi is the quintessential Georgian red grape, producing wines of deep color and good structure, both acidic and tannic. This one has all that in a balanced and inviting form: The nose is dark, brambly fruits and herbs, the palate bright, tangy, and just grippy enough. Drink it with kabobs or badrijani nigvzit (Georgian eggplant rolls with walnuts).A PMW wine club selection (Mar. 2026).
