La Ca' Növa is the Rocca brothers' small family estate in Barbaresco. They used to sell their grapes to Angelo Gaja. Farming is practicing organic. Montestefano is the more powerful of their two cru Barbarescos, typically benefiting from longer time in the bottle to tame the tannins. Fermentation is in stainless steel tank for about three weeks and aging is for 18 months in 3000-liter botti grandi (oak casks).
